Founded in 1846, the French School at Athens is the oldest foreign archaeological institute in Greece and a leading center for advanced research in archaeology, history, and the broader humanities. Located at 6 Didotou Street, 10680 Athens, the School is situated in the heart of the city, close to major academic and cultural institutions.
Symposium sessions will take place in the School’s main conference hall, which offers full audiovisual facilities and adjacent spaces for informal discussion and coffee breaks. Participants will also have access to the institution’s distinguished library and its tranquil courtyard garden—a rare and welcome retreat in the center of Athens.
We look forward to welcoming you to the French School at Athens for three days of stimulating academic exchange in a setting rich in history, scholarship, and cultural significance.
